In the matter of the estate of Erastus Hamblin of Wilna, Jeff. Co., NY: Upon the petition, filed 26 May 1855, of Maria Hamblin of Wilna, as widow of the deceased, she stated that Erastus had died on 23 May 1855 in Wilna, of softness of the brain, a natural death, and left no will.

Maria Hamblin, widow
Harmon Hamblin of full age of Watertown, NY, father of the deceased.
The file further notes that an infant child of the deceased was born after his decease, named Erastus Hamblin, a minor having no general guardian.
On 23 June 1856, Maria Smith, wife of Henry Smith, and mother of Erastus Hamblin, the minor mentioned earlier, was served a notice.
