In the matter of the estate of ERASTUS IVES of Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY:
On 15 October 1828, LUCY IVES petitioned to open probate as the widow of Erastus Ives. She stated that he had died on 3 September 1828 and did not leave a will. She was also asking that her dower rights be recognized in the tract of land that was the home farm.
