On 9 September 1862, George M. Hopkinson of Ellisburgh petitioned to open probate.

William P. Hildreth of Milford, Jefferson Co., Wisconsin
Charles C. Hildreth of Concord, Dodge Co., Minnesota, both children of Huldah Hildreth and of full age.
The deceased left no husband surviving.
Huldah Hildreth made her will at age 76. She named her son, William P. Hildreth. Named her son, Charles C. Hildreth. Appointed her friend, George M. Hopkinson, as executor.
Will dated 3 September 1862. /s/ Huldah Hildreth.
Witnesses: Isabel C. Hopkinson and Carrie J. Kendell both of Ellisburgh, Jeff. Co., NY.
Will proved: 27 October 1862.
