In the matter of the estate of James Lewis of Ellisburgh, Jeff. Co., NY
Henry Downer being duly sworn said that James Lewis, late of Ellisburgh, deceased, died on or about the 18th day of January 1823 and that the said Lewis died without making a last will.
Dated 22 November 1823.
An inventory was taken in Ellisburgh on the 24th of November 1823 by Azariah Doan and Abiah Jenkins requested by the heirs of the deceased.
Within the file at the conclusion of the inventory:
We do hereby certify that this is all of the personal property of the said James Lewis, within the bounds of our knowledge. /s/ Jeremiah Lewis, Admin. and Phebe Lewis, Admin.

Norel Downer, being duly sworn said that James Lewis, late of Ellisburgh, died on or about the 18th day of January 1823 and left no will. Dated 22 November 1823. Inventory conducted by Azarrah Doan and Abiah Jenkins at the request of the heirs of the deceased.
Within the inventory a note of Uriah L. Lewis, Jr. given 7 July 1822. Inventory filed 18 May 1824.
We do hereby certify that this is all of the personal property of the deceased James Lewis within the bounds of our knowledge: Jeremiah Lewis, Administrator and Phebe Lewis, Administrator.
