On 29 September 1852, CATHERINE M. ADAMS of Watertown, widow of the deceased filed her petition to open probate, and that she was one of the executors named in the will.

MAYNARD ADAMS named his wife, CATHERINE M. and his son, ROBERT MAYNARD ADAMS. He appointed JOHN SHELDON and CATHERINE M. ADAMS as executors of the will. Will dated 15 September 1852. /s/ Maynard X Adams (his mark)
Witnesses: JOHN SHELDON and GEORGE H. TISDALE both of Watertown, NY
